Similar to apple pie but a whole lot better!
(Apple Pie filling)
Half cup of lemon juice
4 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup of cornstarch
1 tbsp ground cinnomon
dash of salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
10 cups of water
First,peel extra skin off apples then let them soak in lemon juice for a few minutes while you prepare the other ingredients.Boil a pot of water.
Combine the rest of the ingredients together in a bowl and mix well.Then place mixed spices into boiling water.Stir well.
Boil for 2 to 3 minutes.Stir,Stir,Stir!
Til nice and smooth.
Add the apples. And bring back to boil for 2 to 3 minutes. Lower heat,cover and let simmer til apples are tender (10 mins)
You get a thick consistency when ready.
And that’s how you make apple filling! 🙂
Now onto layering!
Beat together 2 tsp of vanilla extract & 8 0z (room temp)cream cheese + 1/2 cup of sugar.

Take a can of buttery crescents and layer the bottom of a oven safe glass dish.Pinch the sides so it’ll hold together. Use flour on your hands if you choose not to get too sticky.
Next, spread an even layer of the cream cheese mix on top of the crescents.And then add the apple filling on top of that!
You don’t need to use all of it though. Mostly just the apples need to be in the middle and some of the liquid filling.Save some for drizzling on the top to!
After you’ve done your bottom layer,cream cheesed it,poured some of the apple filling on top of that, now add another layer of crescent rolls to seal the deal.
Don’t forget to drizzle the top with that extra filling!!
Bake at 350 until golden brown. 20-25 minutes.
Yes, once done hubby could not wait.. >< The smell got to him. And he doesn’t really even like apple pie but this was a exception. 🙂
